Day 79

I'm Sick
I've been fighting off this "cold" for weeks now, and about 5:30 tonight it hit me with the force of, well the flu. I had totally planned on going out and shooting something pretty, but it didn't happen. Sorry. :-( I'll get something better tomorrow.

Day 73

Watching the Nutcracker
This is how I like to watch the Nutcracker, on the floor, in the lobby, on TV!

Day 72

I'm so tired

This Nutcracker looks like he is made of chocolate. I think it would be better if he was.

__________

Update:

It's Saturday the 24th and I'm just realizing how incredibly lame this post is. I was so tired last night that it seemed incredibly funny. :-) Sorry.

Day 71

Best Friends Forever!

Hattie and Baylee are Best Friends. They look almost totally opposite, but believe it or not, they are related. I don't think I've ever seen cousins this close. I really believe they will be best friends forever.

I spent an hour this afternoon taking photos to replace the ones hanging in my Mom's living room. This isn't one of them because if I posted one, I'd have to post them all. They are pictures of the greatest kids ever. I've decided that if I can't have kids of my own, I'm glad I have these kids to borrow. PLEASE go to the graveyard and look at the rest of the photos I took today, I'm positive that if you see the rest of these kids you'll know why they are 10 of the things I'm most THANKFUL for.

Day 70

Mom's Apple Pie

I'm sure everyone thinks their Mom makes the best ... something, well, I'm no different. My Mom makes the best apple pie EVER! I just wish this photo could show how good it actually is, but alas that is not the case. You'll have to salivate from afar.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Day 69

Me, only Cranky

I only have two words to tell you why I'm cranky...Nutcracker Suite. Or, if I was in a better mood...I Cracked my Suite Nuts.

Day 67

Owie

This is Sam, he had a bit of an accident, but he's "okay," or so he says. I love this kid!

Day 66

Shirllyn
This is my friend Shirllyn, sexy hu? If anyone needs her phone number, let me know. It's all yours! :-)

Day 64

Star Noodle

I thought about posting another window but decided I didn't want to get stuck in a rut. Besides, this is a much better photo. Star Noodle Parlor was open for a good 50+ years and closed before I got a picture of the sign lit up at night, and while it's a pretty cool sign in the daylight, it's much cooler at night.
__________

For those of you aspiring photogs out there, my Camera Club is starting a weekly Photo Hunt, and we'd LOVE as many people as are interested to join us. All you need to do is take a picture that follows the weekly theme listed on the Camera Club's blog, post it to your blog, then send me an email so that I can post a link to your site.

Come play with us! It will be fun!

Day 63

Green Girl

This is the second photo in my series on windows, also the second in my series on the ballet studio next door to my office as well as the second in the series of naked looking green statues...oh, wait its the first in that series. :-)

...And it's also the last.

Day 62

Lonely
They say that windows are the eyes of the house, and this house just looks lonely.

___________

I can't believe it was two months ago today that this craziness started. Wow! I also can't believe there is another ten months to go...sigh...stick with me folks, I think we're in for a bumpy ride. Fun, but bumpy. :-)

Thanks Grandpa, Uncle Farrell, Uncle Mike, and Ron! You guys rock!

Day 60

Sam, Ellie & Max
I had lunch at my brothers house today and played with 3 really great kids. You've met Ellie (the Vampiress), but these are her brothers Sam and Max. It was a rainy day so we had to stay inside for pictures, but we had fun anyway.

Day 59

Emily & Dustin

These are my friends Emily & Dustin. Cute aren't they? We spent the day taking their photos for their christmas cards, and had a great time! When it came down to choosing a photo to post, I ended up basically drawing a number. There are WAY too many good ones. Check out the "graveyard." It'll make you wish you were on their christmas card list.

Day 58

Lala

With this shot I realized two things. 1. I LOVE it when people say yes with out question when I ask "Can I take your picture?" and 2. My friends make me Happy!

Thanks Lala for the last minute photo!

Day 57

Refrigerator Graveyard
Right next to my favorite coffee shop, The Daily Rise ...and don't worry, I don't go there for coffee, mormon's don't do that ;-) ... there are a bunch of old refrigerators. Every time I drive through to get my Guava Smoothie (or as we call it at work, Guapo), I kinda feel bad for the poor things.

What you don't see is Larry & his one eyed friend Mo just outside the frame, eating their wonder bread sandwiches and telling me about the Japanese ghost named Konnichiwa that haunts them...I love downtown Ogden!

Day 56

My Mom's Piano

I was supposed to have a piano lesson tonight (have I mentioned I'm taking piano lessons from my Mom?), but I forgot my music and didn't want to drive back to Layton to get it. I came to my parent's house anyway and took a photo of the piano instead.

I've always loved this piano. It is (obviously) beautiful and has a gorgeous tone. My sister and I have been fighting over who gets it when my parents kick it for as long as I can remember, and my Mom won't pick sides. It should be an interesting fight. :-)

P.S. When I told my Mom I was taking a picture of her piano she said, "WAIT! I have to dust it!"

Day 53

Sarahanne
This is my sister Sarah, and if you know her at all, you can tell by looking at her face that she was totally humoring me today. Well at least it started off that way. As it turned out, we got some really great shots (that you can see in the graveyard). I think my sisters are pretty! :-)

Thanks for humoring me Sarah!

Day 52

Reflection
I wasn't feeling too creative today. So when all else fails, shoot the most photographed building in Utah. ...It is beautiful though. :-)

And your answers to the Day 51 questions are cracking me up! If you haven't commented on Day 51, please do!!! Let's give the regulars a run for their money!

Day 51

My Drawer
I've heard it said that you can tell a lot about a person if you can look inside their drawers. So, I have a challenge for you. Looking at this photo, what can you tell about me? Leave a comment, and the person with the best answer... drum roll please ...wins a $25 gift certificate to amazon.com. ...Seriously!
You have until Monday at 6:00 p.m. (MST)

Day 50

Baby Sister
My new mantra is "If all else fails, call Cecily!" I had put off finding a photo today (surprise!), so I called Cecily and asked if it would be alright if I came out to shoot the barns and sheds on her property, and well, if her kids wanted to come out and play that would be okay too. Oh, boy did her kids wanna play, well, Gracie wanted to play. 140 photos later, I had what I was looking for. There are some great shots in the "graveyard" too.

Thanks again Cec! I'm glad you're my BFFFFFFFFFF!!!
