Day 49

Glinda
Happy Halloween! This is Hallie, my old roommate (I used to live with her, her mom and sister Alexis), and she's always up for a photo. You'll see more of her, I promise.

Day 48

Carefree
Wow, Mary is a really good sport. This is actually the third photo I've taken of her and if you go over to Lara's site, there will be one of her there as well. Thanks Mary!
___
I got an email from an amazing friend today who gave me something incredible. He gave me the energy and inspiration to keep going. I realized after I read his email that there are several people who have done the exact same thing. So, Leslie, Cecily, Emily, Emily C., Jo, Dad, Mom, Lara, Naomi, Sarah, Sarah B., Steph, Rachel, Gigi, Nicki, Taylor, Baylee, Robert, Craig, Cheri, Liz, M. Pond, and anyone else who has commented or sent encouragement, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! If it weren't for you, this would have ended after the 2nd week. You all give me strength.

To those of you who haven't shown yourself yet (don't be afraid, I would LOVE to hear from you), I thank you too. You are just as valuable.

Day 46

Matty & Johnny
This is Matt & Johnny, and Matt's most real smile in ... well ever.

Day 45

Wolverine
I caught my brother's kids leaving for a Halloween Party tonight, and yet again I couldn't decide which pic to choose. There are some other great ones in the graveyard. But this is Geoffrey and on regular days he is very wary of letting me get his picture, so when I get it, I should post it right? Didn't his mom do a great job on the makeup? I'm impressed!

Day 44

The Making of a Vampiress
This is Ellie, she and her brothers are a family of Vampires for Halloween. Unfortunately I couldn't get Max and Sam to hold still long enough to get them together.

Day 43

Cool Shoes

My friend Shannon always used to say "Cool Shoes!" It didn't even have to be about shoes, though she loved "cool shoes." This shot made me think of her. I like thinking about Shan, it makes me smile. (This is for you Jo!)

Day 42

My Parents
It's OK, you can tell me how cute my parents are. I already know, but you can tell me again. :-)

Day 41

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

What are you doing for Breast Cancer Awareness Month?

Here are some LINKS:

Susan G. Koman Breast Cancer Foundation, American Cancer Society, National Breast Cancer Awareness Month

p.s. Thanks for being patient with me! :-)

Day 40

The Photographer
I was trying so hard to be artistic today, and the best shot I got was Lara actually being artistic. She got a really great shot and I'm still trying to get her to post it. I'll let you know if she does.

Yay its Day 40! ...no jokes about there being only 325 days to go. I'm proud of myself, OK?

Day 39

Shiny Happy Faces

I know I post a lot of pictures of these kids, but hey, I love 'em! You are familiar with Taylor, Baylee & Hattie, but Geoffrey and Ellie joined us today. At the top (going clock wise from about 11:55) is Baylee, Hattie, Ellie, Geoffrey & Taylor. Aren't the cute?

p.s. Thanks for the idea Lala!

p.p.s. Em-cat...imagin them all saying "Hi Rob & Emmy!" ...we missed you tonight.

Day 38

Creepy Face

My neice Taylor was helping me search for a photo tonight and we found this pot on my parents deck. We thought it looked like a face that was...well, not feeling well. Even Gracie thought so. T's pretty good at finding pictures, I'll have to use her help again. ;-) Actually we have it all planned. She (and her mom and sister) gave me some really good ideas tonight.

Day 37

Stuck in Traffic
Yes, I was stuck in traffic...again. The same thing happened last Friday on my way home (at 10 p.m.)...very annoying. We're in Utah for pete's sake, we're not supposed to have heavy traffic so late at night. Anyway, I had another procrastination day (this is happening way too often).

Day 36

Two Peas

This is Ben and Jeff, or Jeff and Ben...no, wait its Ben & Jeff...no, umm..........

I went over to Cecily's again this afternoon and shot her sister's kids. Holy crap (I say that a lot don't I), these are cute kids.

There are more in the graveyard, so go check them out.

Day 34

Frustration

  • Frustration because I couldn't find a picture for today.
  • Frustration because my Dad is sitting in the Hospital for no apparent reason (in case you are wondering he feels great, but they still need to run tests on his carotid artery).
  • Frustration because Blogger took 45 minutes uploading this picture (but apparently they know about the problem and are working on fixing it).
  • Frustration about stuff I probably shouldn't blog about...
  • Just Frustration!

Day 33

Almost Sunset

I'll give a prize to the first person to correctly (and accurately) guess where I was when I took this photo. ;-)

P.S. My Dad is doing great. Yay!

Day 32

Sunday Dinner

My photos yesterday and today haven't exactly been awe inspiring. I apologize that they've been a bit, well, snap-shotty, but there is a reason. This is a photo of my mother and sister (and I) having Sunday dinner at the stupid hospital. Yup, my Dad is in the hospital. So with that and ... well, other crap, I haven't had much time to be artistic.

I promise I'll be better this week... or not... I'll do what I can. :-)

Oh, by the way...my Dad is OK. He just has ... well, Heart Disease... he'll be fine. He has a great cardiologist and the way things have happened with this "episode," we know he's supposed to be OK.

Day 31

The Noteworthy Award Gala Celebration
I have four minutes to spare. I was in bed, almost to sleep, my eyes popped open, I ran down stairs and ... a photo for today! Yay!

This is Helen, her Grandmother got an award tonight and she was on hand to entertain the 400 Symphony & Ballet patrons that came to honor her Grandmother. She's 9, and listening to her play you'd never know it. Amazing. I wish I had audio to go along with this.

Friday, October 12, 2007

Day 30

Happy

This is Lara, and this is her happy face. I love her happy face. :-)

Thursday, October 11, 2007

Day 29

2nd Street
You want the story? Well the story is...I'm a Dork! Actually, it's this:

Several years ago, when the 2nd "X-Men" movie came out, the girls in my office decided that we needed X-Men names. Well, mine wasn't very hard to come up with, it's "Distract-o." And not for a good reason either. It isn't because I'm distract-ing, it's because I'm distract-ed. I will swear on my dearly departed grandparents, I HAVE A. D. D.!

See?

Back to the story. This week I've had about a million things running through my head and grand plans for a photo for today (I won't tell you what it is, I'm still going to do it). Well, my friend Lara asked me if I wanted to come see a movie in Salt Lake with her and I said that I would. Well, that killed my plans for a pic. But today, I decided that I had way to much to do to go to a movie, so I had better not go with her.

Yay! The shoot was back on.

So, I got off work and headed to Costco to pick up the prints of the photos I did for my friend Cecily yesterday, and when I saw them I knew that I had to get them to her immediately. So I called her and said "I'm on my way!" And thoughts for anything even remotely having to do with the 365 Project flew out the window.

Not long after I called Cecily, I realized "Crap! I have to shoot something!" So I decided that at the next stop light I'd find something to shoot. At the time of my realization, I was on 36th Street. It took me all the way to 2nd Street to get a stop light, and this is my result.

See what I mean? A. D. D.

Wednesday, October 10, 2007

Day 28

Bliss

I went to my friend Cecily's house tonight to take pictures of her kids. Holy Crap! ...is all I can say. She has such naturally photogenic children that I took 337 shots. I just couldn't stop clicking! There were so many good shots that I couldn't decide, so I ended up on the one that describes her children best (even though there is only one in the shot).

More in the graveyard

Day 27

That which we call a Rose
by any other name would smell as sweet.

Sunday, October 7, 2007

Day 25

Boo
This is Hattie. When "Monsters Inc." was first in theatres Hattie was the spitting image of Boo. Since then that has been her nickname.

Friday, October 5, 2007

Day 23

The Studio

Today is the first day that I almost forgot to take a picture. When I realized it, I started to panic. Then I remembered what my friend Sarah said to me yesterday... "You're thinking too hard." And I realized that she was right. Soooo...as I was walking to my car I looked around and snapped this. It may not be my favorite, but it works and I don't have to go crazy thinking and stressing. So I'm happy with it.

Thursday, October 4, 2007

Day 22

Sisters

These are 3 of the faces I love most in the world (3 out of at least 10...), and can you blame me? Clockwise from the top are Baylee, Grace & Taylor.

There are lots more in the "graveyard."

Wednesday, October 3, 2007

Day 21

Joy
This is Mary. I love her smile when she lets go and smiles!

Tuesday, October 2, 2007

Day 20

The Ogden Sign
I need help! I need ideas! Today was particularly difficult because I just couldn't think of anything to shoot. I'm planning a whole bunch of "people" shots, but those take ... well, planning, and I've been just trying day to day to find a shot. Maybe that's my mistake. SO, I would like your help. Please, please, please leave a comment with suggestions of what you'd like to see. I would be ever so grateful!!! In the mean time, here's another "night time Ogden" shot.

Enjoy...and I can't wait to see your ideas.

Day 19

Abandoned

Lara named this one. The only name I could think of was "Rusty Bum" (which she also came up with), but I think "Abandoned" is better. :-)

It feels kind of wierd posting this early in the day, but since I got this shot this morning...
