Day 18

A Journey
I had such a nice afternoon. After the stress that was my morning (two words: primary program) I decided to take a drive and see what I could see. I spent about two hours driving up Trappers Loop to Snow Basin, then to North Fork and then over the Pass in to North Ogden. It was relaxing and gorgeous! There are more pictures here if you are interested.

P.S. This was taken in North Fork near Cutler Flats.

Day 17

Rainy Day
I had such grand plans for today. I should stop making grand plans, do you think? Anyway, I was planning on driving up to Logan and getting some fall colors, but I opened the door to snow...yes, snow. So my grand plans were shot. As the day went on, snow turned to rain... Ah well, tomorrow? No grand plan!

Day 16

Sushi Baby!

This is my favorite Sushi restaurant in all the world...not that I've been to all of the world...or had Sushi there...I just love Tona! Tonight was difficult, I was so excited for the shoot and it kinda disapointed me. :-( Oh well, there are another 349 days to make me feel better.

P.S. Go check out Em-cat's (or if you are confused as to who Em-cat is, my sister Emily) blog. I'm so very excited that she has joined the blogging world. It's a fun ride!

Day 15

Dancing at the Berthana
It has officially been 2 weeks since I started this project, and I am spent. Not spent as in I'm quitting, but man has it been hard work. I would consider myself a fairly creative person, but I don't think that I have ever stretched my creativity this far, and this is only the beginning.

One thing I've realized? I am having a love affair with Ogden, Utah! I've spent my whole life in this city and am only now realizing what a incredible place it is. You wouldn't think to look at it, but trust me, and start looking at it as a photo. It's an amazing place!

Thanks to everyone who has visited, especially those of you who have commented. You give me the energy to keep going. Here's to 350 more days!

This is for you Em-cat! (...and what's with the Em-cat?...you've been in Cali too long.)

Day 14

Urban Decay

This is another one where I couldn't make up my mind. This time I couldn't decide between color and black & white. Ultimately I decided on color because it gives the photo more depth and texture (and because Lara & Mary liked it the best). Go check it out on the other blog and let me know what you think.

Day 12

Neon Fireworks
This is the first in my series of "Neon in Ogden." Incidentally, it's also the last.

Day 11

Autumn

This one was tough. Not because I couldn't decide which photo to take, but I couldn't decide which photo to post. So if you are interested in the rest of them, check out the other blog, I hope you won't be sorry. :-)

Day 10

Procrastination
My friend Lara is also doing this project and the other day, she told me she wasn't about to put up something she wasn't completely happy with (which is something I greatly admire). Obviously, I have no problem with it. ;-) I'm pretty sure you don't have to ask why this is titled procrastination.

Day 8

Me

I was stumped. And I guess when all else fails...take a self-portrait. Hmmm... narcissistic?

Day 6

Twilight

And I'm not talking about the weird vampire book.

If you aren't familiar with my photography, you probably think that I take primarily night time shots. To be honest with you, I really don't. This was meant to be a sunset shot because the sunset tonight was stunning, but I missed the sunset and caught the twilight. It's still pretty. Tomorrow, no nighttime shot...I promise. :-)

Day 4

The Birthday Twins

Eleven years ago tomorrow my brother got an amazing birthday present, a daughter. Happy Birthday Butch & Taylor!

Day 2

Evian
Originally I wasn't going to comment on the photos I post on this blog, but I think sometimes I'm going to have to. This is my friend Cecily's daughter Evelyn, and I'm telling you, this picture doesn't do this child justice (and that, as you can tell, is saying something). I just wish I could have caught her when she was really smiling, she smiles to melt your heart! The reason I've titled this photo Evian? It's what her sister Gracie calls her.
