Day 262

Tauave
This is Tauave.  This child was doing her absolute best to give me a big old hug.  Normally I wouldn't turn her (or anyone) down, but...well, you can guess why I was so hesitant today.  When she doesn't have the evil intent of getting me soaking wet, she is really a sweet and beautiful child. :-)

Day 260

The Climber
On the other side of this statue there is a quote that, for some reason, really struck me tonight...

The Mountains are the means;
the man is the end.
The idea  is to improve the man,
not to reach the top.

Day 256

Upside down Baylee
I love it when kids just leap in front of my camera!

Day 252

Jumping for Joy
I was walking up the street and all of a sudden a bunch of kids started jumping... okay, not true.  We have a group of High School students who usher at our performances and I was shooting them today for the cover of their directory and we decided to play a little bit.  It was fun.

Day 251

A Blue Bike
Every once in a while you see something that just says "Shoot Me!"  (SomeTHING, not someone!)  Every once in a while this project is easy.

Day 246

The Entrance
I had dinner with a friend tonight.  If you are ever in Ogden, check out the Artisan Grille, it's very good (and at lunch, it has the best Ruben Sandwich EVER!).  I thought the rear entrance was very pretty.

Day 244

Dying Tulips
*Sigh* My tulips are dying. They might have one more shot in them...cross your fingers. :-)

Day 243

Paper Roses
Yes, I know they aren't roses.  But that is the stupid song that has been stuck in my head ALL DAY thanks to this amazingly cute centerpiece of paper flowers.  The truly sad part is that the only lyrics to the song I know are "Paper Roses."  It's on a continuous loop...HELP!

Day 242

My Girls
These are my girls.  I've said it before and I'll say it again, if I can't have my own kids, these are the next best thing.  They are beautiful, smart, funny, and amazing girls (their brothers are pretty neat too).

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

Day 239

"I Wanna Eat Her Face!"
I had a bunch of stuff going on today (including Lala's DVD Premiere Party), so I had a bunch of photo op's to choose from.  Ultimately I had to choose the one with the cute baby because...well, she's a cute baby.

Anyway, I had lunch today with my friend Sarai and her sweet baby Mya (who just minutes before this shot was taken looked like a sushi roll, she had rice all over her hands and face... ADORABLE!).  Look at Sarai's face, I can guarantee she is thinking "I wanna eat this baby's face off!"  And believe me, she does.  Who wouldn't?

Day 238

Just Open a Vein

Snapped a shot of the Refineries on the way home, then stopped at the gas station, then wondered when they were just going to take my blood for payment.

Day 237

Flight
I live about 5 feet from an Air Force Base and the sound of these babies used to wake me up out of a dead sleep.  Not so much anymore.  One of these days I'm going to get a shot of them taking off.  It's quite a sight.

Day 236

Blossoms
I know I'm posting lots of flowers and blossoms, but ... Spring only lasts so long!

Day 235

Variations on a Bird Feeder
Today has been one of those days.  So it's up to you to tell the story behind this photo.  Good luck.

Day 234

Baby Blue Eyes
Remember Denali?  She is 6 months old this month and she has grown some pretty blue eyes.
