Day 201

Reflections of a ... bus going by
I was pointing my camera at a building and a bus went by.  Turns out it was the best of the bunch...not sure if that's a good or a bad thing.

Day 197

The Gamers...and Dad
We had a great show tonight that my brother D and nephew G got to come see (that sold out and then some).  G even got to bring two of his friends.  Glad you came G!

Day 192

The Kayaker
I've decided to leave my comfort zone with today's photo.  I took a class from Jon Williams on Photography and Natural Light and we shot like crazy this morning, then this afternoon I went to my parent's house for the annual Easter Egg Hunt (and froze my tush).  Needless to say I have about 8 million pictures to choose from, but this one jumped out at me.  Mostly because it is so incredibly different from anything I ever shoot.

Anyway, it was taken at the Kayak park just off 24th Street in Ogden.  If you want some great shots with fantastic light, go there!

Day 191

The Graham Kids
I had a blast tonight with my friend Ali and her family.  These are her kids (and a spouse).

Day 190

Into the Light
Every once in a great while, I take a photo that needs very little post processing.  Great models help too.

Day 189

Merry Christmas in March
Remember back on the 20th of January when the Parents started on their Kitchen Makeover?  Well, it's finished.  My mother finally got her Christmas gift...and then some.

Day 187

24th & Washington
This photo makes my little town look much less sleepy than it actually is.

Day 187

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Nothing says Happy St. Patrick's Day like a huge mylar ball balloon that says... well, you know.

Day 185

Jada the Queen
I'm not sure why the Queen allowed me to photograph her today, but I'm glad she did.

Day 183

Waiting
________

It's official, we're 6 months in.  It's been quite the ride.  I've not only learned a lot about my photography, but I've learned a lot about myself.  Here's to another 6 months...maybe more. ;-)

Day 182

Life
At the end of winter I find myself looking for life wherever I can find it.

Day 181

A Guardian Angel
...just what I need at this stage in the game.

Day 180

Stone Church
Tonight, my search for a photo took me to Farmington.  Farmington is full of rock buildings...homes, churches, restaurants, office buildings, you name it.  It's really a beautiful town.
___

P.S.  If you saw this post before March 11th at 8:04 p.m. and read Dale's comments, you'll know he was absolutely right.  SO, I re-posted.  Thanks for being my photography conscience Dale!

Day 179

Pink Rings
I LOVED pattern on the dress my niece was wearing tonight.  So I decided to take an "un-portrait."

Day 178

I Just Can't Get to You!
For those of you who don't know, I'm the Marketing Manager for a non-profit arts organization.  Our organization is so small that we all pretty much do everything from advertising to ticket sales to taking the garbage out.  Not too long ago, Lara was selling tickets at a performance and a woman put her head down on the counter where there is an opening in the glass, as if she were trying to get her head through (much like Lara is doing in this photo), and actually said the words "I just can't get to you."  To which we responded, "Um, that's kind of the point."

Day 177

Ballet Flowers
As we were selling tickets to Cinderella tonight, Gibby Floral dropped off the bouquet's  for the prima ballerinas.  Gorgeous, aren't they?

Day 176

Miles Goodyear had a Cabin

...and this is it.  I was working on a project earlier for my Dad and found myself on the same property as this cabin.  It's was built by Miles Goodyear and was apparently the first permanent building in Utah.  I thought it had some pretty funky textures.

Day 175

Kiwi

This is my version of Lara's Drippy Citrus (only without the drip or the citrus and therefore not as interesting).  I'm kind of stuck in the "High Key" image mode these days, I wonder if I'll ever grow out of it?

Day 174

Stained Glass
At Camera Club tonight we played with Photoshop and Lightroom.  We were a small group, but we had lots of fun.  This was the result... well, the result that I liked. :-)

Day 173

Untitled
This photo needs a title...  Let's have a contest.  I'll think of a prize, you think of a title.

Day 172

Incoming
Look up in the right hand corner, and there is the shadow of a ball headed for Baylee's head.  The girls were cracking me up tonight trying to smack each other in the head with a ball.  I love the look on her face.
